Plankton Trawling

Discover the microscopic monsters of our seas on a seashore plankton trawl and learn why plankton is so important in our seas.

Come for a paddle in the seas to catch the critters and then take a look under the microscopes with our experienced warden who will help you identify your finds. This event lasts for 1 and ½ hours and is subject to sea conditions.

Charges: £4 Adult £3 Child (4 years and under go free). All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Meeting point: The Centre
Site information: Sand, pebbles and shallow water. Please be suitably dressed for the elements and wear clothes and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet.
Distance: A short walk to the seashore from the Centre.
