Charmouth Bowls Club

We are a small friendly club that play outdoor lawn bowls April to September on the bowls green at the bottom of the Playing Field in Barrs Lane, and indoor short mat bowls during the winter in St. Andrews Hall Lower Sea Lane.

Throughout the summer we play internal club competitions and friendly matches both home and away against local clubs.

When not playing matches or competition we hold roll-ups every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 2pm.

All are welcome. All equipment and full tuitions are provided. All we ask is that you wear flat shoes.

Charmouth Beach provides something for all the family. In summer the expanses of sand and gently shelving waters make it the ideal family beach. In autumn and winter the effect of storms and the waves on the cliffs create a haven for fossil collectors.

Charmouth Fossils have appeared on numerous television programmes, and are displayed in museums throughout the world.
