Clubs, Societies & Community Events
Charmouth has an extremely active local community who participate in a wide variety of clubs, societies and other events. Most of the regular events we have listed welcome both residents and visitors.
Charmouth Library
Run by the community for the community. the library has a full range of services and facilities including a selection of books, two public computers, printer/scanner/copier and free to use wifi
Shoreline Magazine
Shoreline has now ceased publication but access to the 50-issue archive of Shoreline publications is still available.
Charmouth Coastwatch
NCI provides eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring maritime radio channels and maintaining listening watch. Visual surveillance monitors sea borne vessels and vulnerable activities such as wind surfing and kayaking.
Charmouth Bowls Club
A small friendly club that play outdoor lawn bowls April to September on the bowls green at the bottom of the Playing Field in Barrs Lane, and indoor short mat bowls during the winter
Charmouth History Society
The Society collects, preserves and ensures access to an archive of documents, photographs and artefacts relating to Charmouth’s social and architectural history, which are stored in our local archive
