We had to take some pictures to show off this find We had to take some pictures to show off this find yesterday. This fossilised fin spine is beautiful and unusual with all of that golden pyrite! It's the second one like it we've seen this week, so if you're heading onto the beach keep your eyes open for more!
We had a fantastic fossil hunting walk this mornin We had a fantastic fossil hunting walk this morning in the Sun and there were even one or two fossils to be found! Congratulations on fool's gold ammonites galore to our intrepid fossil hunters, and always exciting when someone spots an ichthyosaur vertebra!
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Heritage Coast Due to unforeseen circumstances the Heritage Coast Centre will be closed tomorrow Friday 16th January.

A brilliant night as Prof. Dave Martill joined us A brilliant night as Prof. Dave Martill joined us to talk about his exciting new work in Morocco on Cretaceous dinosaurs! Thanks to him for coming down for such an interesting talk, hopefully it won't be too long before his next visit!

High tide: 1853 at 3.50m. Low tide: 1156 at 1.09m. Due to the tides the safest time to go on #Charmouth beach today is between 10:00am-1:00pm #CharmouthTides
