“Ocean with David Attenborough” is a British documentary film released in 2025 that highlights the importance of the world’s oceans, the threats they face, and the potential for marine life recovery.

The documentary showcases spectacular underwater habitats, including coral reefs, kelp forests, and open ocean ecosystems, emphasizing the ocean’s role in regulating climate, producing oxygen, and supporting biodiversity. It addresses human impacts such as industrial fishing, ocean warming, and habitat destruction, while also highlighting solutions like marine protected areas (MPAs) and conservation initiatives. The film balances the harsh realities of ocean degradation with a hopeful message about the possibility of large-scale recovery.

As part of our National Marine Week celebrations we are exclusively showing Ocean with David Attenborough at the Heritage Coast Centre. Limited spaces are available for this FREE showing. Booking is essential as spaces in our Jurassic Theatre are limited.

You may want to bring along a cushion as seating in our theatre are limited to wooden benches. While we have fans it can get warm inside the small room. Run time is approximately 85 minutes and may not be suitable for younger children.
